We are calling on our community for support.IAFF Local 3217 has spent years attempting to work collaboratively with MWAA to secure fair and competitive compensation for the firefighters who protect DCA and IAD every day. Once again, our concerns have been pushed aside even after the recent critical events at both airports.Our members are working longer hours, facing severe staffing shortages, and falling behind regional departments, all while passenger traffic and demands continue to grow. This is not sustainable, and it puts firefighters, travelers, and the surrounding communities at risk.We ask you to please read, share, and speak up in support of the men and women of Local 3217.
