To Our Community

Local 3217 proudly represents the men and women of the Metropolitan Washington Airports Authority Fire and Rescue Department. Represented in the bargaining unit is everyone from the rank of Captain and below, totaling 148 positions at full strength. Collectively, the Local strives to foster a strong relationship with management, ensuring that we are providing the best emergency services possible to the Airports and surrounding jurisdictions. This Local also takes a strong position to negotiate for better working conditions, compensation, fair and equitable treatment for all, and ensures that our Collective Bargaining Agreement with the Authority is adhered to.
